Digital Headphones and Their Appeal
Digital headphones are the latest addition to a growing line of headphones and headsets. While the digital versions of headphones may not provide acute clarity, they are not as expensive as other models. They are great for casual listening occasions, such as when you are doing housework, boring clean up jobs at the office or when you want to listen to music as you exercise. The frequency range of most of the digital type of headphones starts at 20Hz and peaks at 20kHz, which is less than expensive models of headphones, but more than accurate for casual listening enjoyment.
Great for the parents!Video headphones are prefect for children who have the sound volume turned way up when they are playing video games. The bams and zings that usually reverberate from these games sometimes get on parent′s nerves and results in them constantly telling the children to turn down the sound. Everyone knows that the beauty of playing video games is the sounds that accompany them. The headphones allow children to play uninterrupted and for parents the house is much quieter.
Headphones vs Headsets
Although most people use the terms headphones and headsets interchangeably, they are not the same things. Headphones have earpieces and are mainly used for listening to music or playing video games quietly. Headsets also have earpieces (I or 2 depending on the model), but they also have a microphone so that you can use them for communication. When a person is wearing a headphone and starts to talk, their voice is much louder than normal. This is because the headphone blocks out other sounds and a person has to talk louder to hear his/her own voice. This doesn′t happen with headsets and you speak in a normal tone of voice. They enable you to talk and do other tasks at the same time.
